CREALDE SCHOOL OF ART

I became an instructor at

Crealde School of Art in 1977. The school taught adult enrichment courses. I taught silkscreen printing and photography.

Working with photographer Jim Megargee, we created teaching darkrooms and promoted workshops.

I created posters for workshops and events. Most of these were

hand-printed silkscreens.

Jim and I taught most of the classes. We also invited guest photographers. The program was very successful and photography is still taught at Crealde.

I taught myself graphic design during this period and took over production of Crealde's class schedules and other printed matter.

This included posters for events like the Formal Flea Market for which the teaching staff rented tuxedos for an outdoor art festival.

We also did conceptual art events.

One year we got together and made a Rainbow of Balloons.
